I am thanking God that my kitty had such AWESOME, and loving care from Dr. Gunby, Paula, and Viola, as well as all the others who helped make his surgery successful! Country View is more than just a Vet. Clinic. It's a place filled with knowledgeable, and concerned professionals who take their time to answer ALL of your questions, and make you feel confident your furry family member is in good hands! The front desk is friendly, and the Vets and Techs are super knowledgeable and really care about my little lab. We've also done a training class with them and it was really fun and we learned a lot.
I am very picky about my vets and have been to many in the past, having one appointment and never going back. I have been going to this place since I moved back to Madison and it is amazing. The staff is caring and thorough. One of my cats suddenly got extremely ill at the age of 9 and ended up passing away from brain/jaw/ear cancer a few months later. The staff was with me every step of the way and were very compassionate, honest, and supportive through the process. The vets helped me make sure my cat was comfortable during her final months and were always there when I needed medicine for her or had a question. When the time came Dr. Gunby came to my house to put her down and actually cried with me. He said the most important thing I needed to hear at that point which was, "You are doing the right thing."
Go see Dr. Gunby. He was great with my cat and very knowledgeable.
I took my cat here because he was loosing weight and turned out he was diabetic. They made sure I knew everything I could to know about this and when the time came to put him down I had the most amazing experience. They made sure I had enough time with him and made sure to rush us in a room as soon as we walked in the door so everyone in the waiting room didn't have to deal with a sobbing pet owner. Thank you very much for making this experience better then I could have ever imagined and help ease the pain.
I moved further away since then. It was very difficult for me to take my other cats back to that clinic for awhile because I was flooded with memories of all the appointments when my cat was ill. I would cry in the parking lot and want to leave. The staff even recognized this and remembered my cat and would ask how I was doing. I now continue to make the trek to Country View every time one of my pets needs something because I like the place and people THAT much. I would recommend it to anyone. Sometimes you have to wait a bit, but it is always worth it! They are truly a gem!
