Wrote a review several months ago encouraging the owner to take a hard look at what he wants his restaurant to be. It doesn't look like he took my advice. Service remains a huge problem. I've got no issue with hiring teenagers but many need to be taught how to speak with adult customers. Politeness goes a long way. The menu remains limited, the facilities appear dirty, and every visit suggests nobody is actually in charge.
Just kidding. HQ is a great spot. You just need to be patient or be a patron like me to get the great service.
The Q has been a stop of mine since it opened. Service can be good and it can be not so good....
They are always changing waitstaff (because most are very young) by that’s all okay, because it’s nice seeing some fresh young faces. I’m mostly here for the libations. They are always cold and that’s what I like most about a bar. Course, I’m a regular and get good treatment, but the real treatment is watching the galleria of jewels do his stuff!! Working the ladies and gents...
AP was a fantastic bartender. My wife and I come here every other week to enjoy their tasty appetizers and their chicken wings. Deak's sauce is awesome! (But my wife thinks the honey mustard is even better.) The staff is always helpful and friendly and a joy to do business with.
Giving them, just what they want. A cold delicious beverage and a good long look at those firm buns and wishes to see those 6 pack or maybe even 8 pack abs!!!
The atmosphere is great. The food is well prepared. The appetizers are very good and I like the fact they are handmade in the restaurant. Great energy from staff and management
Oregon has new competition in the "family restaurant" business with the opening of Sonny's Kitchen, and I suspect that you're going to see fewer and fewer people coming here for breakfast and lunch. The sports bar business will continue to do well, but expect to see the dining room side suffer some more. I predict they'll stop offering breakfast during the week within 6 months.
Great atmosphere and beer selection. The food that I've had has been delicious as well. Outdoor bar area is very cool during the warm months. I don't remember all of the servers names that I've had but Aubrey has been wonderful.
.....if I wait long enough for the ladies to arrive to work (from the school bus) there’s a whole lot more to sip a couple beers to....as long as you add a few years, to make them legal age. Haha..
